  Activity/Product Description

1. Develop, parameterize and pilot decision support system (DSS) tools that combine diverse sources of information helping farmers and stakeholders in making better and informed decisions in the adopted villages of the KVKs including NICRA KVKs in at least 9 districts in Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. 2. Assess the trade-offs using bio-economic household systems models based on the performance of integrated tree, crop and livestock systems in improving the productivity, water-use efficiency and profitability under different labour and market conditions in the region. 3. Improve stakeholders’ capacity in using systems tools and their application to address the real world problems by the scientists from NARS and CG centers including ICRISAT as well extension specialists from KVKs. 4. Piloting of systems modelling based decision tools to help farmers and stakeholders make informed decisions will be important not only for promoting systems tools but also for validating these and learning from the stakeholder engagement.
