Innovation Title | A novel mixed-method approach to climate change vulnerability assessments for fish production systems in Myanmar |
Innovation description | A methodological innovation built upon the IPCC 2014 risk assessment - adjusted for application in integrated fish production systems. Adaptations to the method include broader analysis of exposure to compounding risks (i.e., climate change+) and use of consultative processes and perception data. The new methodology suits the hazard and vulnerability profile of Myanmar's fish production systems (i.e., aquaculture, inland fisheries and fish in agri-food systems). |

Stage of Innovation | Stage 3: available/ ready for uptake |
Year (Stage) | 2020 |
Stage Description | The tool, ready for uptake, provides managers with a unique opportunity to understand the drivers behind vulnerability within the fisheries and aquaculture sector, based on the integration of key indicators that influence sensitivity and adaptive capacity forming the basis for generating specific climate change adaptation policies and plans. |
