| Innovation description | Rohu (Labeo rohita) is one of the commercially important freshwater fish in India. Despite its high production and good taste, the market value of carps and consumer acceptance is low in many states of India because of the presence of intramuscular spines and bones. WorldFish developed standardized processing method for preparation of boneless rohu. Promotion of boneless Rohu in Odisha and India would create a new line of business and employ many rural people. |
