General information

Innovation ID397
Version ID307
Innovation TitleModel for enhancing in situ produced protein and highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) in shrimp ponds
Innovation description Protein and highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) inclusion in fish diets puts a high demand on natural resource use and are an expensive component in shrimp diets. Fish research discovers that these ingredients in shrimp diets can be reduced by enhancing in ponds the contribution of in situ produced protein and HUFA to shrimp production.
