Innovation Title | A novel mixed-method approach to climate change vulnerability assessments for fish production systems in Myanmar |
Innovation description | A methodological innovation built upon the IPCC 2014 risk assessment - adjusted for application in integrated fish production systems. Adaptations to the method include broader analysis of exposure to compounding risks (i.e., climate change+) and use of consultative processes and perception data. The new methodology suits the hazard and vulnerability profile of Myanmar's fish production systems (i.e., aquaculture, inland fisheries and fish in agri-food systems). |

Stage Description | Methodology designed and approved by FAO. Piloting commenced early 2020. Scaling plans in early stages of development with donors and FAO. Scaling to three states and regions Myanmar, and potentially regional scales. Translation to climate adaptation and multiple-hazard response in Myanmar likely 2020 and beyond. |
